Hebden Bridge Open Studios 2020
Coming to you soon in the luxury of your own living room (drum roll please) is the fantastic Hebden Bridge Open Studios Online, October 10/11. We invite you to participate and I have forwarded all the details below, including a group show, which you will be able to go to if you need your gallery fix (which is very understandable).
We'll be broadcasting videos and live streaming via our YouTube channel.
Find out all about the 92 artists involved on our website, where there will be lots of art to see and buy.
Follow the hashtag #hbopenstudios2020 on Instagram and Facebook to see fantastic artwork and find out all about the creative life of artists in and around Hebden Bridge.
To get you in the mood you can visit an actual exhibition of 27 Open Studios artists at Hebden Bridge Town Hall now. It's open daily this week from 8.30 - 4, ending noon on Saturday.
Then to warm you up for the online weekend Hebden Bridge artist Kate Lycett is hosting a conversation with gallery owners Alison and Paul Bartram (Heart Gallery and The Yorkshire Gallery) and Terry Brett (Pyramid Gallery, York).
Tune in to our Youtube channel at 7.30pm next Thursday, October 8, for some fascinating insights into the art scene of Northern England.
We might not be able to invite you into all the studios and workshops this year so we'll bring Hebden Bridge Open Studios to you. Full programme details are coming soon.

The Lockdown Blues - Again!
Once again, Calderdale, along with Leeds, Manchester and parts of Lancashire are under lockdown again. Boo! Just as things were starting to get back to a more normal way of life. I know it is for our own good but I can’t help but be very disappointed. So, anyway, just for fun, I thought I would print my own commemorative social distancing mug to remind me of these strange times. Would you like one? Message me and I can get one printed for you :)

From Todmorden with Love
Yesterday was print day at the Quilty household and the topic was All Things Todmorden with a specific request to use the iconic, community spirited and Incredible Edible deliciousness ‘Kindness’ signs. These coasters, placemats and (very chunky) mugs - see photos below - will be available from Todmorden Information Centre as from tomorrow, 3rd August.
All items are individually printed limited editions and may be subject to variation.
Harriet's House Portraits and other Illustrated Gifts
Since lockdown started, which sorrowfully heralded the end to any arty activity on my calendar, I have been steadily building up a new venture painting houses. Which is fortunate because I love painting houses! So it has been an absolute joy every time!
The only problem with selling portraits on my website, though, is that Squarespace don’t make allowances for any extras, such as furry companions. I also had this idea that, for anyone who was interested, I could also print bags, coasters and placemats of the house as an extra for gifts (for example, to a daughter who has left home and is a bit homesick).
But never fear, Etsy is here! Thankfully, Etsy is very hot on any requirements such as these, in fact, choices could go on forever, but hopefully I have added the most applicable ones for your needs.
If you are reading this and would like me to paint your house, boat, wigwam, and not just for you, but as a gift for a loved one, you can still order from the Shop section here on my site. But if you want any of those extras, or indeed, anything else that I could tweak the dropdown menu for but haven’t thought of, then visit my Etsy shop right here and go to the featured items: https://www.etsy.com/shop/HarrietQuilty
Enjoy Christmas and have fun at New Year!
Is it really this time of year? I swear time goes faster and faster with each and every year!
I would like to wish all of my customers a fantastic festive break and a huge thank you for your support over the year.
Shop will be closed until after the new year. You will be able to continue to place orders, but I will physically be away from my workroom (on holiday, yay!!) until 6th January.
